The case involves a female nursing home resident who developed a life threatening pressure ulcer after being neglected by a Kissimmee area nursing home.
While the case is still under investigation, early indications show that one of the reasons for the bedsores development was that the nursing staff was inadequately trained in wound care prevention, and as a result failed to provide proper wound prevention care.
