A Scottish nurse who was cleared of physical abuse against an elderly nursing home resident has been accused of failing to report other staff members.
Jason Seats stood trial in 2012 after he was accused of physically abusing an 84-year-old man who was suffering with dementia. Lack of evidence however cleared him of the charges. Now reports have surfaced that Seats witnessed abuse made by other staff members and failed to report it to his manager or other authorities. It is alleged that he witnessed the abuse between 2008 and 2011 but only reported what he saw in August 2011. Seats could lose his job if the allegations are true.
