Two young women have been charged with abusing a nursing home resident and filming it in the city of St.Charles; in the Chicago suburbs.
Chemyra Barnett and Jacqueline Santos allegedly physically abused the 89-year old female resident when they were working at the Rosewood Care Center. Both 18-years old, they were arrested and charged after the police were called in following an administrator’s suspicions of the girls’ actions on Thursday 13th March.
The two girls are both students at South Elgin High School and have since appeared in court with bail set at $15,000 each.
While the resident was not injured, each of the girls are charged with one count of aggravated battery of a person over the age of 60 and one count of unlawful videotaping.
